I just want to create pieces of art that make people feel happy and inspired.

Welzie is an artist in Hawaii that uses happy art and happy colors to inspire others to be creative.
His artwork is made just like a surfboard and is inspired by his love for the ocean, surfing and Hawaii.

Welzie was inspired to create the logo for School of Hoku Lea by a story he would read to his son at bedtime.
The story detailed a brave crew who steered their canoe on the adventure of exploring the ocean, they used the bright Hoku as their guide to lead them back to their home in Hawaii.
The moral of the story was the crew believed in their heart they could do anything!

Welzie believes we can be inspired by our everyday life and put that into artwork, stories or any talents individuals may have.
Welzie is so excited to support and be a part of the creative adventure of The School of Hoku Lea, he is eager to share his art and love of teaching with the children who are a part of this program.
